An Energy Comparison Of A Loop Chiller

Hartman LOOP™ network-based control technologies add a new dimension to all-variable speed chiller plant operations. The Hartman LOOP is, in effect, an 'operating system' that optimizes the plant as a system and thereby affords enormous energy and cost savings.
In addition to annual energy cost reductions of 20% to 45%, this network-based system enables reductions in plant size of 20% or more with the same capacity and redundancy capabilities as larger conventional plants.
There are two separate elements of all-variable speed chiller plants: The chilled water generating and distribution circuit.
    The chiller and condensing circuit.
The chilled water generating and distribution circuit in all-variable speed plants is a single circuit without any decoupling lines and no mixing of supply and return chilled water. Booster pumps with coordinated network control are employed for exceptionally high pumping efficiency in configurations with extensive distribution systems.
The chiller and condensing circuit in all-variable speed designs employs coordinated variable speed chillers, variable flow condensing water, and tower fan speed control.
Hartman LOOP technologies optimize all-variable speed plants by taking advantage of the exclusive characteristics of variable-speed pumps, chillers and fans.
