    Marriage And What People Say

    Muhammad Saleh al-Munajjid | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 04 | Size: 1 MB
Beloved Muslims! Do you not think that the spreading of impermissible acts necessitates that we re-evaluate the issue of marriage and facilitate it? corruption is approaching us from all directions, for it seems that what we had on the ground was not enough, that they (the disbelievers) have attacked us even from the skies (i.e., by means of satellites). They have disseminated evil everywhere, to the extent that teenagers are surely exposed to prohibitions through satellite channels and they may even watch pornography; they see naked or virtually nude women on television – what, then, is the solution

I Appeal To Your Sense Of Shame... Will You Not Respond

Nawaal Bint Abdullah | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 17 | Size: 1 MB
The words I write are from a heart full of sorrow and pain at the sorry condition of so many Muslim women today. We see the Muslim woman who, dressed in clothing that is covering yet nakedness, comes out to display her charms and seduces the slaves of Allah with the filthiest of weapons - the weapon of enticement and allurement that she has learned of the ways and means of seduction. For you find this seduction in the home and in the street and in speech and in movement. Seduction in clothing and beautification, in walking and sitting and in the glance. It is really a serious matter that is disgraceful and that dismembers the heart with grief when we live in a reality where so many Muslim women are divested of hayaa'. The deen and the Qur'aan are forgotten and practices and morals are disavowed...and there is no ability or power except from Allah!

    Women & Hajj

Muhammad Sharif | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 19 | Size: 1 MB
The goal of this term paper was to give the Muslim woman a chance to see those Fiqh rulings that are specific to her in Hajj - since many a time her rulings are lost in the general discussion of how to perform Hajj. In the end one should have a general idea of those things that a woman differs in Hajj from men. They should be able to recognize differences in ritual worship between the women and men. And they - in sha' Allah ta'ala - should get a clear understanding of issues that are commonly differed upon. After having been given the opportunity - alhamdullilah - to attend Hajj for a few years, the subject that came to mind to write about for this course of Fiqh Al-Kitaab was Sunnah was that of women in Hajj. Because of the lack of experience people, not specifically from North America, have with the rites of Hajj, I wanted to give the Muslim woman a chance to look specifically at those things which she needs to focus on and understand. With the intention of writing a term paper that would elucidate the Fiqh rulings specific to women in Hajj, I went about organizing the topics under three chapters, the first dealing with Ihraam, and the second with ritual differences between the men and women.

    Al-Hajj Al-Mabroor

Sheik Muhammad Mitwaly Ash- Sha‘râwy | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 118 | Size: 2 MB
In the journey of ever continuous giving of the venerable Imam, Sheik Muhammad Mitwaly Al-Sha‘râwy, are shining lights and inspirations that illumine the way of the seekers, guide the astray and teach humanity the religious matters that have been kept hidden from it. Done for the Love of Allah, the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and Islam by Abdullah translation group and as homage paid to our venerable Imam, Sheik Muhammad Mitwaly Ash- Sha‘râwy.

Hajj…that sublime fifth Pillar of Islam, rich with farreaching
    shoreless meanings, wisdoms, morals, philosophies
and symbols; a rehearsal to the Day of Crowding, a great
scene of equality where all privileges melt into thin air. In
Hajj there is a reenactment of Prophet’s Ibrâhîm (peace and
blessings be upon him) firm stand against the black whispers
of Satan. He stoned him seven times, a physical matter that
agrees with our corporality, for us to learn that we should
always stone the devil within ourselves in a nonphysical
sense, barring all his gateways to us, by our defiance to yield
to his satanic temptations until he recedes and leaves us
dispossessed of all power over us.
All hajjis came answering the call of The Great Summoner –
His Majesty, Allah, all praise and glory be to Him. All are
standing before Allah just with a seamless piece of cloth on
body like the shroud you shall come out of this world
    wrapped in.
Tawâf, Sa‘y, Standing at ‘Arafat, offering sacrifice,
Zamzam…. and other Hajj rites, all have a wisdom and a
moral, all teach a lesson that we should live by. Hajj with it
majesty and the magnificence of worship in it is the hope of
every Muslim to establish the Fifth Pillar of his Islam; hope
of becoming a hajji, a traveler whose destination is the
Sacred House of Allah and visiting His Messenger
Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

The Easy Dictionary Of The Qur'an

Shaikh AbdulKarim Parekh | Language: Arabic - English | Format: PDF | Pages: 276 | Size: 4 MB
The Qur'an is the final revealed Book that contains the message of guidance from Allah for all humankind. Accordingly, the salvation as well as worldly welfare of the entire humanity depends upon following the guidance ordained in this Divine Book. In other words, success in this world as well as the Hereafter for humankind is treasured in this great Book. Therefore, there is an endless need to compile Qur'anic expositions (in the context of modern challenges and evolving circumstances) while calling people towards understanding its eternal message. Before you start reading this dictionary of the Qur'an, you should keep in mind that the Qur'an is not a book of theories, rather it is a practical book of guidance, to be read and acted upon. As you go through this book, you should simultaneously read the original Arabic texts of the Qur'an. In addition, a translation of Qur'an is of further help. In a few months, Insha-Allah, you will have learnt to translate the Arabic verses into your own language. It is then that you will realize the value of this little dictionary. Once you have memorized the words of the Qur'an together with their meanings, you will discover new feelings from the recitation of the Qur'an. As a matter of fact, you will feel that Allah has removed darkness from your mind and lit your heart with His Noor (Light), Insha-Allah.

Where Do I Go From Here?

Well! You can start studying the second
main source of Islam, i.e., Hadith. There
are plenty of Hadith collections available
which contain the Arabic text alongside the
English translation. You can start with any
of them. By now, insha-Allah, you must
have developed the capability to identify the
meanings of new words in the translation.
    *****

    And say: "O My Lord!
    Increase me in
    knowledge."

    An excellent guide
to lead you to the understanding of the Qur'aan.

All you have to do is...
SPEND 5 to 10 MINUTES PER DAY
    and insha-Allah
    WITHIN ONE YEAR,
you will understand most of the Qur'aan.
Is that not an effort worth investing!
And Indeed, We have made Qur'aan easy to
understand and remember, then is there any that
    will remember (or receive admonition)?

    (Al-Qur'aan 54:17)
So, Make this book a part of your life.
Keep it on your desk and study it for a couple of minutes
everyday until you are able to understand Qur'aan.

Signs Of Ar-Rahman: In The Jihad Of Afghanistan

Shaykh Abdullah Azzam | Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 80 | Size: 1 MB
This book was written by Shaykh Abdullah Azzam during the Afghan-Soviet Jihad in the 1980's. It deals specifically with first hand accounts of the miracles that occured during this Jihad. Shaykh Abdullah Azzam writes, 'These incidents which are going to be narrated are, in reality, more extraordinary than one can possibly imagine, and appear to resemble fairytales. I have personally heard them with my own ears; and have written them with my own hands from those Mujaahideen who themselves were present. I have heard these miracles from such men who are trustworthy and reliable, and who have been constantly on the battlefield. The miracles are many, so much so that they more or less reach the degree of Tawaatur i.e. such a large number that does not entertain the possibility of fabrication. I have heard numerous such miraculous episodes, but brevity does not allow me to enumerate all of them. Allaah Ta ‘ala has not made it except as a glad tiding, so that your hearts may achieve tranquility by it.

Time Magazine described Shaykh Abdullah Azzam as the man who wasthe ' reviver of Jihad in the 20th Century'. Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was born in the village of Ass-ba'ah Al-Hartiyeh, province of Jineen in the occupied sacred land of Palestine in 1941 CE. He was brought up in a humble house where he was taught Islam, and was fed with the love of Allah, His Messenger (saw), those striving in the Way of Allah, the righteous people and the desire for the Hereafter. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam was one of the first Arabs to join the Afghan Jihad against the communist USSRIn 1979, when he learned about the Afghan Jihad, he left his teaching position at King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and went to Islamabad, Pakistan, in order to be able to participate in the Jihad. He was a fine example of Islamic manners, in his piety, his devotion to Allah and his modesty in all things. He would never adulate in his relations with others. Shaykh Azzam always listened to the youth, he was dignified and did not allow fear to have access to his brave heart. He practised continual fasting especially the alternate daily fasting routine of Prophet Dawud (as). He strongly counselled others to practice fasting on Mondays and Thursdays. The Shaykh was a man of uprightness, honesty and virtue, and was never heard to slander others or to talk unpleaasently about an individual Muslim. On 24 November 1989. The enemies of Allah planted three bombs on a road so narrow only a single car could travel on it. It was the road Shaykh Abdullah Azzam would use to drive to the Friday Prayer. That Friday, the Shaykh together with two of his own sons, Ibrahim and Muhammad, and with one of the sons of the late Shaykh Tameem Adnani drove along the road. The car stopped at the position of the first bomb, and the Sheikh alighted to walk the remainder of the way. The enemies, lying in wait, then exploded the bomb. A loud explosion and a great thundering were heard all over the city. People emerged from the mosque, and beheld a terrible scene. Only a small fragment of the car remained. The young son Ibrahim flew 100 metres into the air; the other two youths were thrown a similar distance away, and their remains were scattered among the trees and power lines. As for Shaykh Abdullah Azzam himself, his body was found resting against a wall, totally intact and not at all disfigured, except that some blood was seen issuing from his mouth. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam himself once said, " Indeed Islamic history is not written except with the blood of the Shuhadaa', except with the stories of the Shuhadaa' and except with the examples of the Shuhadaa'. " May Allah (swt) accept him amongst them.
