Visualization: The presentation of transparency and specular reflection was previously only possible in the raytracer procedure with the POV-Ray supplied with DIALux. Now both are also supported directly by DIALux. Simply allocate the most suitable material property to each object used. The Raytrace Preview has been added to the DIALux views. This provides the same functionality as POV-Ray but with improved quality and rendering speed.
Calculation: Previously it was not possible to calculate transparency. Only POV Ray could present the visualization – but without calculation results. The optimized calculation core used by DIALux can now calculate transparency. In this way you obtain the correct results. The new Ray Trace Preview is responsible for the visualization (see above).
DIALux provides a new object for the new transparency calculation option. The “glass plate” has been added to the standard bodies. The benefit of this is in the already preset material properties. Of course there is the option of adjusting the degree of transparency and the specular reflection individually.
Creating videos: Now the new material properties such as transparency and specular reflection can be taken into account for films. In this way you can make your presentation even more realistic.
Calculation grid: In addition to luminous intensity values the real time calculation of calculation grids now also displays the uniformity Emin/Emedian and Emin/Emax in the CAD views.
DWG/DXF Export: To DWG and DXF Export have been added sports complexes, calculation grid results, C0-alignment and alignment arrows. This information can now be exported as a separate individual layer.
There are new output pages for radial calculation grids such as, for example, circular paths or tracks and also for free calculation grids. The improved presentation is displayed with “radial table” or “point value” output pages.
Street lighting: The lighting categories for roads now also support Danish and South African norms.
Task Areas: DIALux now provides the option of selecting freely whether the size should take into consideration the size of the surrounding area or the task area. This is important when using different norms.
Materials: All textures have been provided with new pre-defined material properties as a result of the new visual calculation.
Reading in faulty or incomplete photometric files used to cause the software to crash. This has now been remedied.
Energy valuation: When luminaires already positioned in the room were changed, this used not to be transmitted correctly to the energy valuation. This has now been remedied.
Energy valuation: The results of energy valuation calculations can now also be viewed directly on the property page of the zone, the room or the area. It is not necessary to open the outputs for this.
Visualization: The perspective of the planned project was presented differently in the DIALux Raytracer Preview and in the POV Ray rendering. This has likewise been adjusted for both views and they now correspond to each other.
