Ukraine is among few world countries in which the airspace engineering is developed and manufactured, as well as the qualified specialists are trained to work in this area. State Aerospace University is the leading higher learning Institution in the state education system of Ukraine. It trains the specialists of a given profile.



The KhAI history is closely connected with the development of aviation industry and science. The University is known for its creation of the first European high-speed aircraft having a retractable landing gear and a turbojet engine design. Its author was the KhAI teacher A.M. Liulka, who afterwards became an academician and designer of many aviation engine structures, including Su-27 aircraft engine.



KhAI is a single higher learning Institution where the aircraft constructed by the design office under the supervision of professor I.G. Neman, where the aircraft were manufactured serially at the aviation plants and operated on the passenger airlines. The University has already graduated more than 53 thousand engineers for the period of its existence. 80% of specialists having higher education and working at the Ukraine airspace department have graduated from KhAI.



At present about 7 thousand students and 160 post-graduate students are trained at the University. About 700 teachers and more than 2 thousand collaborators are working at the University now. Among them there are 13 academicians of Academy of Science of Ukraine and branch Academies, 95 professors and doctors of Philosophy, more than 400 associate professors and candidates of science.

Annually the University trains more than 300 citizens from 29 countries of Asia, Africa and America.


KhAI occupies a territory of city wood land zone and covers an area of 2,5 sq.km. The University has 8 academic halls, scientific and research Institute and labs, library with 920thd volumes in stock, campus, sport department, swimming pool, preventive clinic, dinning hall.




Faculties and Specialities

The State Aerospace University named after N. E. Zhukovsky(KhAI) trains the world level specialists of design and aerospace engineering manufacture.


The training is carried out at the following 9 faculties:
- aircraft design;
- aircraft engine design;
- aircraft control system;
- space-rocket engineering;
- radio-engineering;
- economics and management;
- the Arts mid-careea education & pre-college training;
- extra-mural.

A preparatory department is organized at KhAI specially for the foreign citizens.

The University graduate students in dependence on the level of education, get the diplomas of bachelor, specialist and master degree holder on the following specialities:

Training Conditions


The training period at KhAI is: 4 years for a bachelor degree, 5,5 years - for a specialist degree and 1 year after getting a specialist degree - for a master degree holder.

The foreign students are trained within one year at the preparatory department. Here they study Russian and profile subjects (physics, mathematics, technical drawing, etc.) in Russian.

The preparatory course delivered in English is organised for foreign citizens. The academic year starts in September.




Research Work and Scientific Programs



Currently 22 scientific schools are carrying out experiments at KhAI how to solve the problems of development and creation of modem models of aerospace engineering, engines, devices and radioelectronic systems, double application technologies.

The scientific works on theoretical-experimental research of heat condition and aircraft engine diagnostics (supervisor Ph.D., prof. D.F. Simbirskiy), creation of highly effective impulse aircraft engine production technologies (supervisor Ph.D., prof. B.K. Borisevich) are introduced at many plants of airspace complex.


The scientific development on research of processes and creation of electric rocket engines and aircraft power plants (supervisor Ph.D., prof. N.V. Belan) is widely used in space aircraft.


The scientific school on theory of radioelectronic devices, systems and complexes (supervisor Ph.D., prof. S.E. Falkovich) makes a substantial contribution into the development of control systems, navigation and modem aircraft measurement.

The scientific works on design and manufacture of aircraft structures made of composites (supervisors Ph.D., prof. V.E. Gaidachuk, Y.S. Karpov) are awarded with a state prize.


The scientific research work is carried out at KhAI on basis of modem experimental equipment which, is, in number of cases a unique one, as, e.g., supersonic wind tunnel with an air speed from 0,5 to 4,5 Mach, structure test lab., engine and power plants research and test complex stands.


For the first time in the history of world the University has applied the explosion energy to treat the metals in machine building area. It is a pioneer in the field of flight tests using dynamically similar models.


The KhAI specialists and its graduates took a direct part in design and manufacture of aircraft of such families as AN, TU, SU, MiG, Be, helicopters Mi, Ka, etc.

The University works were repeatedly exhibited at the domestic and international expositions including the airspace salon in Burzhe (France). They were awarded with more than 300 medals.


KhAI is a co-executive committee of International Space Program "Alpha" as well as of scientific drafts having its aerospace organizations in Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, China .


The National Academic Centre, equipped with working stations of Digital firm, which have a CAD/CAM/CAE UNIGRAPHICS license system designed at KhAI under the program of computer integrated technologies development. The Academic Centre for computer network is connected to the Internet network.


Accommodation Conditions



The University has its own campus situated near the academic halls. This incorporates 10 hostels intended for 6110 people. The comfortable rooms for 2-3 persons are granted to everybody who needs them. There are reading halls, dinning halls, canteens and cafes at the hostels.


The students of KhAI have a possibility to go in for 17 kinds of sport. The KhAI sports department which includes a track and field athletics hall, swimming-pool and a stadium is one of the best in the city.


The period of entrance into Ukraine for a study is established from 15.08 to 15.11. In case of arrival at any other time the foreign citizen has to inform the University about this fact.

طبعا نريد التواصل معكم اكثرواكثر من ناحية المواضيع المتعلقه بهندسه الطيران سوا خليجيا او عربيا او عالميا والاستفاده من الخبرات العملاقه في هذا المجال..............

اخي جاسر هل انسى عالم الطيران لاني لا املك شهاده غير الابتدائيه وعمري 22 سنه او في امل ان الاقي معاهد تعلم الطيران لغير حاملين الشهاداتاو اي جهه عربيه ويا حبذا لو على نفقتهم والتصاميم لنا سويا

وما نحن بصدده دراسة أكاديمية ... ليست ضرورية لان تتعلم
الطيران بالبارشوت مثلاً, أو تصنيع الطائرات الصغيرة ..

في السعودية مجرد أن ينتهي مهنس الطيران من دراسته يقدم على وزارة الدفاع أو
وزارة الداخلية مثل الدفاع المدني ويعين بمسمى (ملازم أول مهندس )
كثير من زملائي مهندسين في القوات الجوية كمهندس صيانة
