Greetings to all
Thanks Eng. amani for this really nice chance that let us to overtake like those benifit stories
First of all i would thank you really for this good job as well as to my bro Abu Al holol of his effort to this sucsess forum
actually the first story is talking about the reality of our behaviour in front of any favour has been given to us ,yes some times we think very greedily and forgot for a moments or maybe years and years who was taken aplace in our deep heart .
I loved really the second story which talked about Mother
it made me crying for amoments , and it is really pathetic story and the most sentence was really affected me ( I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU' and to give our loved ones the time that deserve)
Many thanks for all
The Wooden Bowl
A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and a four-year old grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together nightly at the dinner table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating rather difficult.
Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass often milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. "We must do something about grandfather," said the son. I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.
So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner at the dinner table. Since grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl. Sometimes when the family glanced in grandfather's direction, he had a tear in his eye as he ate alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old watched it all in silence.
One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, "What are you making?" Just as sweetly, the boy responded, "Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and mama to eat your food from when I grow up." The four-year-old smiled and went back to work. The words so struck the parents that they were speechless.
Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done. That evening the husband took grandfather's hand and gently led him back to the family table.
For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled. Children are remarkably perceptive. Their eyes ever observe, their ears ever listen, and their minds ever process the messages they absorb.
If they see us patiently provide a happy home atmosphere for family members, they will imitate that attitude for the rest of their lives. The wise parent realizes that every day that building blocks are being laid for the child's future.
Let us all be wise builders and role models. Take care of yourself, ... and those you love, ... today, and everyday!
a new perfect interesting story makes me give u a new evaluation lol
however, it's a new sad story too . but no big deal coz it's a very good story though :)
to be honest, i expected that ending of the story coz we've heard alot about similar stories, esp in cartoons
in my opinion, we can't consider it like only a normal story, but it's actually a real life.. unfortunately, we can c this pic that u show in ur post in many peaople's lives
thx alot eng.amani , hope we get more interaction from our friends in this forum
no sister.. no big deal ... sometimes these stories r so important, so that we can pay attention to ourselves not to make any mistake, esp to our parents, who should be our whole lives
thx alot, u have the choice, u can add some similar sad stories if u want :)
new sad story ... and beautiful lesson
The girl in the picture is Katie Kirkpatrick, she is 21 . Next to her, her fiancé, Nick, 23.
The picture was taken shortly before their wedding ceremony, held on January 11, 2005 in the US.
Katie has terminal cancer and spend hours a day receiving medication.
In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of quimo to end.
In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her wedding and took care
of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss
An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that ketie used throughout the ceremony and reception as well.
The other couple in the picture are Nick's parents. Excited to see her son marrying his high school sweetheart.
Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube , listening a song from her husband and friends
At the reception, katie had to take a few rests. The pain do not let her to be standing up for long periods
Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a women so ill and weak getting married and with a smile on her face makes us think..... Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it last. We should stop making our lives complicated.
what should we learn from this story is
Life is short
Break the rules
, love truly
And never stop smiling
no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful.
What a sad story is it
it is very strong
face your fears
live your day as the last day in your life
Do not leave the others who u care about alone
Do not give up
WoOoOwW .... what a post !!! .... actually u've added very important other points, and got the full mark 100/100 for this thread lol
good job sister
yes i agree with u, it's another sad story. for this reason, i suggest that we change the title of this thread to be "new sad story ... new tears" loooool
