ماالذي يحدث للطائرة أذا سارت بسرعة الصوت؟؟؟
there are planes that fly near sonically, large commercial liners like b 747 can reach M =.85
nearsonic flights are anywhere between M= .8 and 1.2
at these speeds shock waves start to form, increasing as a result the drag, which reaches a maximum
value at M = 1
this drag decreases as M increases to supersonic values
So u can see why even supersonic flights are more favorable than sonic speeds
however
there are ways to overcome this drag increase, perhaps without having to increase the engine size, like using supercritical airfoils, area rule, wing sweep, and thin airfoils.
