You are required to design an audio amplifier;the amplifier input comes from a high quality dynamic microphone. The amplifier should deliver up to 120 watts of RMS power to the speaker/speakers (this will be a multistage amplifier). You are required to do the following.
- Choose the microphone and speaker/speakers types.(use radioshake.com)
- Suggest the amplifier design (use transistors, resistors, and capacitors. No ICs are allowed)
- Analyze the design to achive the input resistance, voltage gain, output resistance and power gain.
- Find the overall amplifier efficiency.
- You have to illustrate the function of each circuit component, and why you used it.
- You have to specify ALL the used components numbers, including power sources, (For example 100 Kohm%5 tolerance resistor, 2N3055 npn transistor,....)
- Specify the circuit cost (sum of the prices of all the components)
- Verify your results using any simulation program. (For example multisim)
- Attach the datacheet of the used components to your solution.
- Make your assumptions very clear.
- you have to specify your sources of information (website,
datasheets, textbooks,...etc.)
- the circuit cost, and the desig quality are major factors.
- Credits will be given to circuits with short circuit protection, and high tolerance to components values change.
- Credits will be given to calculating the harmonics ditortion introduced by the amplifier.
